2bagsmicrowave popcorn (or popped corn totalling about 12 cups)
212 oz bagscandy coating(I use Merckens or Chocomaker--see post for more info)
add-ins of choice (M&M's or other candies, nuts, dried fruit, etc)
sprinkles, if desired
fine salt, if desired
Instructions
Pop popcorn as desired or instructed on package. Remove any unpopped kernels. Pour into a large bowl and scatter your add-ins (except for sprinkles) over popcorn.
Melt chocolate coating as per package directions. Pour over popcorn and add-ins in bowl and quickly stir to coat throughout.
Spread popcorn onto a parchment-lined baking sheet. Quickly add sprinkles and fine salt (if using) before chocolate sets.
Allow to set and break up any large pieces before storing in large ziptop baggies or individual little baggies tied with a festive ribbon. Store in airtight container at room temperature for one week.
