Looking for something sweet without all the processed sugar? Look no further than this simple and quick instant pot no sugar added applesauce. It'll become a favorite sweet treat for your whole family!
Peel and chop apples and add to Instant Pot. Add cinnamon to taste (I add about 1 tablespoon) , and 1 cup of water, per Instant Pot instructions.
Set Instant Pot to pressure cook on high for 30 minutes. Let pressure release naturally. No need to blend if you like a chunky applesauce. If you'd prefer smooth, use hand blender or regular blender, being careful to not overfill blender if applesauce is still hot.
Serve warm or cold (we prefer cold) plain, with a dollop of whipped cream, or with a swirl of whipped topping (we like the new Reddi Whip non dairy topping made with coconut milk). Enjoy!!
Notes
Try to add other fruits for a flavored applesauce, such as pears, strawberries, cranberries, etc. I used pears once and the end result was delicious. Experiment!
