Hey everyone! On this sweet Saturday: 11/15/19 it’s a dreary, rainy weekend here in Va. Beach, which is the perfect weather for baking, maybe making some soup for dinner, and kicking back and relaxing on the couch.
We’re having a little break from the coastal storm that started yesterday and will continue tomorrow, so I took advantage and went on a walk. When it storms, the dogs won’t go out unless I put on rain boots and a raincoat, grab the umbrella, and head out into the middle of the backyard with them! And when I’m in shorts and a T-shirt (and usually an apron) it’s probably a pretty comical sight to see, lol!!
Regardless of the weather, I’m in a great mood because I have lots of good recipes I’m working on this weekend. In addition to some new stuff I’m testing, I’m also working on tried-and-true-recipe videos. I’ve only made two videos total so far, so I really need to get some more cranked out. They’re very time consuming, but as I do them more they’ll become easier and should go a lot faster.
I used to have an office when I was working as a medical transcriptionist, but I recently converted it into more of a photo/video studio. My enormous desk is no longer taking up most of the space and my photo/video shoot “studio” is left in place for the next time I need it. That’s so much easier than setting it up and taking it down every day in my kitchen.
WHAT I’M LOVING THIS WEEK
How good does this Instant Pot Roast Beef look? Oh my gosh, my mouth is watering!!!
This Turkey Apple Brie Panini is a great way to use up leftover Thanksgiving turkey.
I think I could make these Cheddar Cheese Buns gluten free. Yum!!!
Buttermilk Marinated Air Fryer Whole Chicken is going to happen this coming week. It looks so good and so easy!
WHAT I POSTED THIS WEEK
Incredible Gluten Free Pumpkin Pie — my new favorite pumpkin pie of all time! It’s like a pumpkin pie and a cheesecake had a baby. So good!!
Gluten Free Hawaiian Rolls — I updated my post from a year ago with new photos and a video! These rolls are the absolute BEST gluten free rolls you’ll ever eat. They’re soft and have that pull-apart feathering like a real roll does.
Gluten Free Pie Crust Chips and Dip — this is such a cute idea that I had to make gluten free and it is really addictive!! You won’t be able to stop at just one.

If you live in Virginia Beach and need any trees removed, I would HIGHLY recommend Beach Tree & Stump. They removed three trees from our front yard this past week (two large pines and a river birch) that were destroying our yard and encroaching on our driveway and foundation. The whole process was a sight to see and they worked like a well-oiled machine. We are BEYOND happy that the pine cones and pine needles are GONE!!!!
I hope everyone has a sweet Saturday and wonderful weekend 😊
